Our church members are also involved in bringing together nonperishable canned or dried food products for the needy of our community. Holiday baskets are made, augmented with major purchases from the Women’s Fellowship and individual donations, and distributed at Thanksgiving and Christmas. A list of families is put together with the help of the public school system and is loosely guarded, and monitored for the sake of fairness and equity. We have just begun the 14th year of the Breakfast Bunch program for the public school children. Its prime mover and organizer, Rev. Clemens Urbanski of St. Anthony’s Church, has been called home by the Lord in early October. We miss him very much. God bless his memory. Mrs. Elizabeth Medgyesi is the new coordinator. In September, our Chief Elder Della Kish resigned her office. She has served in that position for the past 12 years. We thank her and her husband Mike for the many tiresome hours of dedicated work and for representing our church at various church meetings, celebrations, and gatherings. At the same time we welcome John Evanko to the post and pray that God grant him strength, patience, wisdom, and love to fulfill his duties. We look forward with great anticipation to the coming new year with its accompanying challenges, opportunities of witnessing, heralding the gospel message with our lives, and for God’s continued blessing upon the works of our hands. Maranatha. Rt. Rev. Louis Medgyesi, Bishop Szabó László: Isten Hegedűse Azt mondják rá: ragyogó lángész. Ritka hegedű Isten müvén Ó visszazeng: Én húr vagyok csak Az Isten hegedűjén. A húron Isten ujja játszik, A hegedű: Jézus, s ha hallod, Nem én, a húr, de a hegedű Adja a csoda hangot. 108
