Sunday School. The church continues its faithful ministry of instructing and confirming its young people. This year was especially noteworthy as the confirmants, Michael Toth and Joshua Spangler were respectively the fourth and fifth generation to be confirmed in this church. Both of our confirmants attended our Sunday school and their Biblical knowledge pays tribute to our teachers, Patricia McLean and Cindy Toth. Our children attended Vacation Bible School and the Youth Camp of our Synod. This fall we held a Sunday School Rally Day and the blessing of God is evidenced in the increase in the enrollment. The social and fund-raising activities of our church were headed by our Women’s Guild under the direction of Nancy Hoffman, President, Elsie Vargo, Vice President, and Virginia Roby, kitchen manager. All of our ladies work very hard, yet the time was appropriate for change and our fall activities were organized under the guidance of our consistory and our officers led by our Chief Elder Wilburn Roby. They held a very successful stuffed cabbage luncheon. May God’s blessing be upon us as we re-organize for the coming events. We will hold the Second Annual Thanksgiving Day Service in conjunction with our local churches as well as participating in the winter community worship and prayer service. Our congregation contributed through Calvin Synod to the Bell Tower building project of the church of theological student pastor, Rev. Lőrinc Kovács of the Hungarian Reformed Church in Romania. 88
