Bethlen Almanac 1998 (Ligonier)

George Dozsa: The Bethlen Almanac, 1999

THE BETHLEN ALMANAC 1999 Dear Reader: This issue of the Bethlen Almanac follows the format that I outlined for you in our previous edition. I would like to welcome the American Hungarian Foundation (AHF) as a new contributor to this issue. The AHF, with its Heritage Center in New Brunswick, New Jersey recently became the repository of our Bethlen Archive collection. All archive material was transferred from our facilities at the Bethlen Home in Ligonier, Pennsylvania, to New Brunswick this past year. The concept behind the move was to consolidate archival material that had been collected from different sources over the last 75 years (not to mention any successive collections) to a place better equipped to handle such material and more accessible to educators, students and the general public. The Heritage Center is affiliated with both Rutgers University (the state university of New Jersey) and with the Széchényi Library in Budapest, Hungary. We hope that you, the reader, will find this issue an enjoyable and useful source of information on the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America, The Bethlen Home, our congregations and the Heritage Center. George Dózsa, Editor in Chief
