Members in good and regular standing at the end of the year were 84. There were 3 babies baptized and 2 member funerals.

Ladies Guild - the Guild members meet regularly and work well and hard. The Guild sponsored dinners, breakfasts, a Chinese auction and sold Easter and Christmas candy and entertainment books. Members took part in the World Day of Prayer Service, the community Good Friday Service and the March 15th Program. Their donations included: to the church $1,000; Pastor’s Anniversary $200; flowers $79; World Day of Prayer $25; Pastoral Prayers $10.

On March 2nd, the Rossville Church members donated $10,000 to our church in a solemn service.

On September 28th, at a worship service and luncheon, the congregation observed the pastor’s 50th Anniversary of his ordination and presented him with a gift of $1,000. A booklet prepared by his family was issued for this observance.

Our beloved church was organized in 1929, and plans are in the making for the 70th Anniversary observance in 1999.

In closing, I am always and ever grateful to the Lord for His help and guidance in my ministry of over 50 years.
