Csoportjaink között megemlítést érdemel az Idősek Köre, akik minden hónapban egyszer alkalmat adnak idős tagjainknak az együttlétre és kikapcsolódásra, a kirándulásra. Egyházunk autóbusza rendelkezésükre áll minden alkalommal. Az autóbusz 25 személyes és minden kényelmet kielégít. Az elmúlt évben újra szerveződött a vasárnapi iskola, amit angol nyelven tartunk minden vasárnap a központi épületünkben. Minden nyáron alkalmat találunk iskolás gyermekeink lelki oktatására a Nyári Biblia Iskolában, amikor egy hétig minden nap vallásos oktatásban részesítjük őket. Gyülekezetünk talán az egyetlen Magyar Amerikában, akinek saját temetője van. Meglepő látogatóinknak az, hogy temetőnkben mind a szokásos magyar nevek találhatók. Templomlátogatásunk átlagban 125 vasárnaponként. Lelki alkalmaink mellett meg kell említenünk a havonta kétszer tartott Biblia órákat, ami áldott alkalmat ad tagjainknak nemcsak a találkozásra, de a testvéri hitnek az ápolására is. Bízunk abban, hogy az Egyház Ura velünk lesz a jövőben is, és alkalmat ad a Benne való növekedésre és hitünk erősítésére. In 1998, our congregation in the city of Perth Amboy, New Jersey, celebrated its 95th anniversary. Commemoration of this event was held during the month of November with the participation of our sister churches. This past year also marked the 40th anniversary of the construction of our Social Hall known simply as the Church Center. Last year also marked the 25th anniversary of the ordination of our pastor to the Christian ministry, as well as the 50th anniversary of the chartering of the Women’s Guild. We are grateful to God for allowing us to reach these memorable occasions. Worship services are held in the congregation every Sunday in English at 9:00 a.m. and in Hungarian at 10:30 a.m. Holy Communion is offered to the members on the first Sunday of each month or during the holidays. The congregation is led by an 18-member Church Council. Two hundred seventy six families are considered to make up the total membership. Our most lively church group consists of the Women’s Guild. The Guild meets twice a month, on the first occasion to discuss its business, and the second time for social gathering. Their manifold activities are open to the public and all their work is offered to the upbuilding of the Church and to the glory of God. 106
