Bethlen Almanac 1997 (Ligonier)

George Dozsa: The Bethlen Almanac, 1998

THE BETHLEN ALMANAC 1998 Welcome to the newly formatted 1998 Bethlen Almanac. With this issue we are trying not only to rekindle the idea of publishing the Almanac annually — a tradition since its inception in 1921, but we are also endeavoring to reach a wider circle of readers by publishing our articles bilingually, in Hungarian and in English. By these means, we would like to reach out to third and fourth generation ethnic Hungarian readers who may no longer be in command of the Hungarian language. As to its contents, we have now allocated more space to the activities and work of the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America and its subsidiary, the Bethlen Home. We have also included up-to-date information received from the various congregations and have compiled in the appendix a reorganized list of ministers, their respective churches and chief elders (with names and telephone numbers). We hope that our readers will find the Bethlen Almanac enjoyable and a useful source of information on the Bethlen Home, the Federation and our congregations. George Dózsa, Editor in Chief George Dózsa, President of the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America, and Chairman of the Board of the Bethlen Home.
