Kálvin Egyházkerület

We welcomed Lajos Gulácsy, Bishop of the Reformed Church in Carpatho-Ukrain. Several lecturers and artists from Hungary gave presentations at our church. We continued to sponsor several Transylvanian seminary students at the nearby Ashland Theological Seminary. Our income for 1996 was $182,334, of this 45% from individual contributions, 33% from our church organizations, 20% from social and cultural activities, and 2% from miscellaneous sources. Our expenses amounted to $180,065, of this 34% for the upkeep of the church property, 33% for payroll, 12% for church organizational expenses, 11% for social and cultural event expenses, and 10% for mission (within and outside of our church). There is a healthy sense of God-fearing in our congregation. Our hard-working people invest not only their labor, but their heart and soul into the well being of our church. The church is of extreme importance here, because we are aware of its being the body of Christ our Saviour on this earth. Even the church building enjoys a great deal of 91
