Under the leadership of Rev. Szilagyi, this group delivered used kidney dialysis units as well as numerous smaller pieces of medical equipment ranging from IV needles to used diagnostic instruments. Our church sent money, clothing, shoes, aspirin, eyeglasses and toothbrushes that we collected over a period of several months. Our missionaries were able to see first hand what the Reformed Church has accomplished through hard work and initiative of the local people, and the funding that comes from outside to this area of very poor economy.

Our other missionary efforts included support of Rev. Sara Katocz, a student at Ashland Theological Seminary; Hungarian Reformed ministers in Kárpátalja; missionary Rev. Daniel Szabó in Hungary; the education of “Csángó” Hungarians in the Hungarian Reformed High School in Sepsiszentgyörgy, Transylvania; Trans World Radio to support the studio in Hungary where interdenominational Christian radio programs are prepared; Inter Varsity Christian Fellowship; the City Mission, and the Salvation Army.

In July of 1997, we retired our mortgage. The bill for building our nearly two million dollar Sanctuary, Education Center and Hall has been completely paid. We are pleased that our financial obligation to the Hungarian Reformed Federation of America has been retired. Our members have generously contributed toward our building fund and worked diligently in numerous fundraising activities. We thank God that He has been our guide and inspiration in this effort over the past years.

Az 1995 óta eltelt időről adunk dióhéjban jelentést. Az egyházi élet a megszokott rendben és két nyelven működik. Ezt nem vesszük készpénznek, Istennek drága ajándéka a létezésünk, az energiánk és a szeretetben való együttműködésünk. Még mindig a magyar gyülekezeti rész a nagyobb, (istentiszteletenként átlag 72, az angolé 38); van magyar vasárnapi iskola kb. 20 diákkal, magyar konfirmáció (1997-ben 5), magyar Bibliaközösség és magyarul éneklő kórus. Ugyanakkor nagy gondot fordítunk az angol gyülekezeti élet ápolására, hisz hosszú távon az angol
