In 1995 the congregation celebrated the 80th anniversary of Hungarian church life and worship in the church building constructed in Carpenter Gothic style. Originally the church building was built for the German Lutheran congregation in 1883 by Balthasar Kreischer, the owner of the local brick plant on Staten Island.

For the anniversary year, the Magyar Reformed Church building and site received “Landmark” designation from the

80th Anniversary Congregation—Staten Island, NY, Magyar Reformed Church celebrated on October 8, 1995, in their “Landmark" church building in Charleston (Kreischerville), Staten Island, church building in which Magyar Reformed Church worship services have been held since 1915.
