The First Hungarian Reformed Church of Homestead (1993) The Central Classis of Calvin Synod held its fall meeting on Sunday, September 19, 1993 in the Homestead church. The local pulpit supply, Robert Kennedy conducted the opening devotions. Dr. Aladár Komjáthy of the Pittsburgh church delivered the lecture entitled “The Past, Present, and the Future of the Central Classis.” He also welcomed the Beaver Falls church, which recently joined the Calvin Synod, and was represented for the first time at the Classis meeting by a three member delegation. The installation of Bishop Vitéz was also remembered in the prayers of the meeting. Dr. Komjáthy also welcomed the Rev. Julius Paál who returned to his home classis after a stay of 25 years in California. The business meeting was conducted by the Classis 186
