Bridgeport, Fairfield, New York, Passaic, South Norwalk and Wallingford. Fairfield filled its vacancy in 1994. Our Bridgeport congregation celebrated its 90th Anni­versary on November 6, 1994 with Bishop Vitéz and Dean Poznan participating in the Worship Service and banquet. The Perth Amboy congregation celebrated its 65th Anniversary. ☆ Individual Notes Rev. Dr. Francis Vitéz serves as bishop of our Calvin Synod fulfilling all the duties of the chief executive. He visited Hungary and Transylvania with Dr. Paul Sherry, President of the United Church of Christ in June. Bishop Vitéz is the ad­ministrator in New York and Wallingford. Rev. Albert Kovács reached the age of retirement and the congregation unanimously asked him to continue his ministry in Woodbridge. He is the General Secretary of Calvin Synod and was administrator in Fairfield and in Passaic. Rev. Béla Poznan was elected pastor of the Calvin Church of Christ, Fairfield congregation on January 30, 1994 and re­signed from his position in New York as of March 15. He was installed by Calvin Synod on September 18, 1994 with Bishop Vitéz and General Secretary Kovács officiating and the participa­tion of 11 ministers. A banquet followed the Worship Service at Sante’s Manor, Milford. The dean is the administrator in Bridgeport and South Norwalk. Rev. Dr. Imre Bertalan was elected by the Washington, D.C. church according to the rules and procedures of the Hun­garian Reformed Church in America. Rev. Dr. Alexander Havadtoy accepted a position of Professor of Philosophy at Norwalk Community College. He supplies the pulpit at South Norwalk congregation. Rev. Lelia Havadtoy served as a supply pastor in the Bridgeport congregation until she became a chaplain in the United States Navy. Rev. Marianna Király was called to be an interim pastor in New York after completing her studies in Princeton Theo­logical Seminary. Rev. Dr. Laslo Medyesy resigned as pastor in Wallingford and accepted a position of professor at the Karolyi Gáspár 169
