Amerikai Magyar Református Egyház

A Nőegylet 1989-ben a templomi padok támláját piros huzattal látta el. A beruházás $1000-ba került. YOUNGSTOWN, OH Pastor: Vacancy Officers: Darlene Demjén is chief elder, Roy Comba is assistant chief elder, Secretary is Mrs. Peggy Carson, Treasurer is Joseph Vince. The past year we have been rewarded spiritually as well as financially. As a result our congregation is a stable church on a solid spiritual base. Every department, the Ladies Aid, the Men of the Church, Fellowship Circle, the 150 Club, the Sunday School and the Youth organization had at least one but often two major projects which were carried out with great zeal and a considerable success. Dr. Andrew Harsanyi our bishop, was a special guest at our fellowship dinner in September, 1989. Over 150 guests were present and Bishop Harsanyi had presented the Rev. Fuleki with a check of $1,000 to further his studies toward a doctor’s degree. The Doctor of Ministry degree was conferred on the Rev. Fuleki last Spring. This thoughtful and generous donation was received with a deep sense of gratitude. Secondly, we have organized a young ladies group under the name Sisters in Friendship. 30 young mothers came together and have been functioning with zeal and vision over the last year. We publish a monthly newsletter to create a more informed church membership. With deep sadness we said farewell to two faithful members who have been with us since the formation of the church in 1926: Mrs. M. Almassi and Mrs. E. Szalay. Then, in September 1990, Mrs. Helen Hohvart, 97 years old, passed away. May they rest in peace. The Rev. Dr. Fuleki accepted the call of the Bridgeport, CT Hungarian Reformed Church (Calvin Synod) to become its pastor 200
