of Thanksgiving on November 20th at which time we were able to burn all of the mortgage papers on the church, the Kossuth hall, the parsonage and the land. Rev. Dr. Laslo Medyesy joined us for this special thanksgiving program. We are truly thankful for God’s help and generosity.

During the year the Sunday School has continued to grow as well as church attendance and member involvement. We have continued to support the Bethlen Home as well as other local institutions with financial aid. This year also saw the creation of our regular newsletter „the MONITOR“, which will help maintain a better line of communication with our own membership and become a possible outreach tool to the community. The regular activities of sausage and csiga-making have continued as in the past. We are still fighting the traditional problem of lack of church growth, but a committee is working diligently on this and results are visible in the fact that we have had an increase in church attendance of approximately 10 %. We pray for God’s continued help and blessing. This year also saw the establishing of a Prayer Chain program in which members can call upon the other members of the group for their combined prayers for a specific problem.

God has blessed us in the past and we pray that we might serve Him in the future.

Anyakönyvi kivonat adataink: 3 keresztelés, 3 házasságkötés, 4 halálozás, 2 konfirmáció. Az átlagos istentiszteleti látogatók létszáma 86 személy, melyből 55-en az angolra és 31-en a magyarra járnak. Ez kb. 42.66%-a a 196 tagú egyháznak.

Tevékenységeink simán haladnak a már megszokott ütemű sorrendben, melyeket a két aktív csoport, a Mária Márta Kör és a Női Kör tagjai sikeresen visznek végre. Nem is tudom hol állnánk sürgőpforgó asszonyaink lelkes munkája nélkül. Az ősz folyamán elkezdték a rendszeres havi ebédet az egyháznál, amely egyszerre közkedveltté vált egy-s-más okból, nem kevésbé a keresztyén közösség baráti ápolásából is. S amiket összeszedtek, mint anyagi nyereményt, továbbították mind az egyház támogatására, mind különböző jótékonysági célokra. így segítettek az egyik tagon is, kinek hatalmas költsége gyűlt össze gyermekének orvosi kezelése miatt.
