„Restore us, 0 God, let thy face shine that we may be saved!” (w. 3, 7, 19) was our guide during the year and at the celebration proper. A cheerful photo album preserves the pictures of our members in the anniversary year. T-shirts bear the image and name of our church with the milestone years of 1908—1988. A small anniversary album summarizes the struggles, defeats and victories of the last ten years. By doing so it joined the continuous chronicle of the life of our congregation as we left recording it in our 70th anniversary album. A warm and delicious church family banquet followed the anniversary worship service. Both events cemented our commitment both to the Lord and His service and to the loving and caring fellowship of our congregation. Generous anniversary donations poured in from grateful hearts. We also launched a research in the field of family history and roots among our members.

Needless to say that we continued our timeless struggle for our future. 1988 did not bring a break-through in any of the fronts of our battle for survival. But we learned precious strategic lessons, and took several promising steps toward the next eighty years of Christian life and service.
