1987 175 Most of the younger people who have joined us during the past ten years have already moved out of McKeesport, or plan to do so. Simultaneously many of our older members have died or have been confined in nursing homes or in their own homes with some permanent disabilities. While giving thanks in all circumstances and praising God for trusting U6 with such great challenges, we tried to face our obstacles in faith saying to our mountains of problems, “Be taken up and cast into the sea.” (Mt. 21:21). This year we are not going to tell you about the steps we have taken in the direction of solving our difficulties. We are still waiting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. But we have already taken the leap of faith, put our lives on the line, and risked the future of our Church on God’s power and promises. God willing, we will be able to share the details with you next year. At the time of our report these are the leaders of our Church, who carry the burden and share the ministry of our Lord with the Pastor. Our Sunday School Superintendent is Mrs. Betty Hodge. The leaders of the Women’s Guild are: Mrs. Candy Ernst, President; Mrs. Betty Hodge, Vice-President; Mrs. Fran Barnum, Secretary; and Mrs. Gladys Lorenchick, Treasurer. If anybody deserves blessings and praises the leaders and members of our Church do. The yo-yo existence of our Church in the last decade could have discouraged even some heroes of the faith. God is faithful and one of these days He will surprise us with showers of blessings. Eva M.
