Sándor Kovács The following is an excerpt from the pastor's annual report to the congregation: Growing Pains! Probably best describes the events of this year. We are realizing ourselves as a truly congregational church by becoming that which we have been claiming to be all these years. A true congregational church is one in which each member shares in the decisions and work of the church and takes responsibility for what he does; and where each officer and elder acts both as a representative of the membership and a leader motivated for the good of the church. Our progress this year has been truly blessed by God. The Maintenance Committee did a commendable job on keeping the church’s property in good order. They finally caught up with long overdue repairs and restorations. They painted all the woodwork and washed the walls in the Fellowship Hall, painted all fences and railings around church property and the cemetery, installed a new railing in front of the church, removed the flag pole, washed walls in the church from the floor level up to the windows, cleaned out the bell tower.
