128 BETHLEN NAPTÁR SOUTH NORWALK, CT Lelkipásztor: Szabó Zoltán Rév. Zoltán Szabó retired from the Ministry as of Sept. 1984. A reception for the retiring Pastor was given by the Consistory and the Church organizations on Aug. 19, 1984. Rev. Eugene Szabó (not related to Zoltán) and his wife Dolores arrived in March and a “Welcome Tea” was held for them by the congregation. Lenten services were held each Wed. with a buffet supper preceding the service. Rev. Szabó spoke in April to the Men’s Brotherhood about his Air Force experiences. On Good Friday a very moving “Nails of the Cross” service was held. Also in April the members of the Women’s Groups from our neighboring Hungarian churches were guests of our Women’s Guild. Rev. and Mrs. Szabó held an “Open House” on April 28. More than 150 persons attended. The pastor’s family (left to right): Mrs. Patricia Engstad holding Nicolas (from Norway), Dolores Szabó, Rev.
