Bethlen Naptár, 1982 (Ligonier)

Egyesült Államok - Kálvin Egyházkerület

1982 119 Minister with members of the Ladies Aid. funeral of Rev. Dr. Arvai-Zsiros, and to Indiana Harbor for a memorial service upon the death of Rev. Dr. Arthur A. Ludwig. These three pastors will be missed not only by their congregations, but by all the members of Calvin Synod. Members of our congregation work at our weekly bingo for the ladies in the community, particiuate as volunteers at the annual Special Olympics for the mentally and physically handicapped, help with fund raisers for the handicapped, collect clothing and food for the needy in the community, and in additnion to our regular donations to mission donate to the handicapped in our community. This past year, through the dedication of our members and the Lord’s help, the Whiting church became financially stable for the first time in many years. This has made us both to be generous in our giving, and also enables us to continue long over-due major renovation of the church building. Paul closed his letter to the Thessalonians with the words: “Rejoice always, pray constantly, give thanks in all circumstances: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you . . We pray that the Lord will let us continue to be his servants for many years to come. ☆ ☆
