Bethlen Naptár, 1980 (Ligonier)

Egyesült Államok - Kálvin Egyházkerület

1980 101 Rev. Imre Bertalan, pastor of the Hungarian Reformed Church in New Brunswick, N.J., Rev. Imre Andrew Bertalan, and Rev. Dr. Andrew Kása, grandfather of the newly installed pastor of the Toledo, Ohio Church. God, remembered our heritage, and with renewed energy, made commitments for the future. Among these plans are the following: 1) The rebuilding of a strong, effective youth program; 2) The reorganizing of our men’s club and our women’s fellowship and the formation of a church couple’s club; 3) An enlivened program of stewardship and financial support in order that Calvin be better able to participate in the mission of Christ’s church; 4) An expanded worship experience in which our members will be encouraged to take part; 5) A continued commitment to the improvement of the Birmingham neighborhood in which we are located; and 6) To increase our involvment with sister Hungarian-American churches in the Ohio-Michigan-Indiana area. Truly God, our Father, has blessed Calvin United Church of Christ during her long history. We look forward with great anticipation to 1980. With the Lord’s help, the new year will be one of worship, celebration, growth and sharing.
