144 BETHLEN ALMANAC Consistory, Van Nuys, Cal. The result is gratifying. At the first Anniversary Banquet in June, 1959 there were close to three hundred people present. The services are being held regularly on Sunday mornings at the Seventh Day Adventist Church. There is Sunday School and lively Ladies’ Aid work. To aquaint the people with each other, there are monthly Garden Parties held at the homes of church members. Everyone of them is a great success. There are new comers at each worship service. This is a splendid sign of the need and possibility of a good Church in the Valley. The Charter Presentation service and banquet was held on the 22nd of November, 1959 at the Fellowship Hall of the Church of Chimes, the Mother Church of the new Hungarian Reformed Church.
