In our institution of nearly 20 buildings which is valued at half a million dollars repairs and improvements are an everyday matter. In the Children’s Home during the past year we repaired the roof, stairs, the floor of the dining room and kitchen, painted the entrance ways and a number of rooms; we completed necessary carpentry and masonry work. A new water heating system was installed in order to comply with state regulations. In the Old People’s Home we completed the necessary items of work including repair of the roof, the painting of a number of rooms and outside painting. The Farm Dwellings are being repaired. Fences have been repaired; the pig sties have been enlarged. Repairs, in general, like the poor, will always be with us. SUPERVISION.
