222 BETHLEN NAPTÁR In addition to building this new wing, renovations were made on the old building, chapel, and roads. The old wing was freshly painted inside and out, a new wiring system and electrical fixtures were installed, the roofs on both the old building and the chapel were completely re­built, the grounds landscaped, and the roads repaired. No substantial work will have to be done on our buildings for at least the next five years. THIRD PICTURE: THE NEW OVERSEER IN CHARGE As my co-worker, the Rev. Louis Varga took his position as over­seer of our aged on January 1, 1952. He began his work as the Board of Managers had stipulated. He gives full time to the supervision and care of our old guests. He conducted weekly services in our chapel and in a number of instances, to help the superintendent in his promotional work conducted Bethlen Home services in our supporting congrega­tions. Both the overseer and his wife have cooperated fully with the superintendent, conscientiously giving of their best in the care and supervision of the aged.
