62 BETHLEN NAPTÁR The Old Folks Home is a quiet place in contrast to the laughter and noise of the children’s home. Those who have come to the “hill” seldom find too much pleasure in life, in laughter and chatter. The few remaining years of their lives are spent in quiet preparation for what the future may hold. It is a blessing that there is such a home provided for the aged of our faith. Blessed are they who founded such a home and those who share in bearing its burdens through sacrificial giving: our Federation, our church members and all those charitable hearts, who are thinking of us and all those, whom God placed under our care. Night is falling. Tired legs bring back our old folks from their chores. They are ready for their evening meal. The doors of the sick are opened, so that they, too might hear the evening prayers and hymns and thus prepare themselves for another night of quiet rest. Energetic, old voices rise to the Lord in hymn and prayer... “Stay with us, Oh Christ, be Thou our shining sun”! Our Farm Our 204 acre farm is our prime source of food. We cultivate 90 to 104 acres, while the rest is set aside for grazing. Through the able help of our farm foreman and his farm hands, we have been able to provide almost all of our food requirements. We have excellent machinery with which to carry on the necessary work. Maintenance of the farm is a hard task, requiring much thought and much expenditure, but our food costs much less through our raising our own than if we were to purchase every item for our large family. In the past four years we spent $25,983.90 for our farm. We sold $7,108.64 worth of farm pro-PART OF OUR HERD
