- 7 ­After five years,studensts may obtain a degree of architect /M.Arch Eng., Dipl.-Ing.Arch./ qualifying them for jobs of designing arch­itect, constructor, constructional and structural designer, town planner, régiónál planner, with design offices, building author­ities, in teams for different development problems, as well as in building maintenance, monuments preservation, scientific research or education. Professional practice and postgraduate education may offer further specialization, to meet actual demands. Faculty of Chemical Engineering Chemical engineering education aims at training specialists qual­ified for technology planning and control of chemical processes, and for developing new chemical operations and methods. In the first two years, students share the same fundamental education in mathe­matics, organic and inorganic chemistry, and computer techniques. After the fourth term, students can be trained to become either production engineers /B.Sc./ via another study year, or graduated engineers studying for three more years, to be qualified for deve­lopment, design and research in the chemical industry. Specialization involves organic and biological chemical industry, with branches of organic synthetic chemical industry, industry of synthetic materials, pharmaceutical industry, light industry, bio­logy and food industry. Postgraduate training is organized according to individual cur­riculum.
