RÉSUMÉ FACTS TO THE HISTORY OF GYPSIES (1596-1850) written by Tibor Iványosi-Szabó Gypsies have been living among us for some 400 years. Our history is interwoven in some ways. However, it is insulting how little is known about life, sturggles and growth of gypsy group living in Kecskemét. But not only we owe them more ways. The same has to be stated of other European nations where they have also been living. In the past two and a half century there have been more trials to solve troubles of this ethnic group on the given level.
