the Unitarian Church, János Szász told that they could collect documents only additionally (even beyond the frontier, as well), however, they store up files of 50 running meters about the Church reorganized at the end of the 19th century. There are files of 36 running meters from the years between 1896 and 1972 in the Archives of the Baptist Church (its head is Emil Kiss that was established in 1948. Owing to the historical potentialities the richest collections of the ecclesiastical archives are the documentations of the Catho­lic Church. The most significant ones of them are the Esztergom Primatial, Eger Archiépiscopal, Kalocsa Archiépiscopal and Archdiocesah Chapter Ar­chives. 8 episcopal and 6 chapter archives and finally each archives of the 3 existing monastic orders (Benedictine, Franciscan, Piarist) are attached to them. From this ample range György Tímár spoke about the documents of the Pécs Episcopal and Cathedral Chapter Archives in the archival session. The Hajdudorog Greek Catholic Episcopal Archives (Nyíregyháza) was pre­sented by István Cselényi, head-archivist. As the independent Hungarian dio­cese had been formed in 1912, he told that the files concerning the earlier centuries could be found in the Eger Catholic, Munkács, Eperjes and even in the Rumanian archives. The youngest church archives is the Hungarian Jewish Archives. György Landeszmann in his historical survey spoke about a consi­derable destruction of documents in World War II but he informed the parti­cipants that there are attempts to collect the latent documents, recently. The succesful ten years'work of the archives was promoted by an international support, as well. József Kanyar, chairman of the session on ecclesiastical themes, thanked for the surveys that gave a great number of informations and intellectual experiences. The board of the archival session suggested the exploration of those ways but what the state-secular archivists could give practical help to the ecclesiastical archives that are struggling with personal problems.
