professional skill. According to Kálmán Benda the drawing up of an overall plan of publication is not the task of the association of the archivists, notwithstanding, an undertaking can and has to be made to draw up the rules of source publications. The critical and comprehensive lecture was followed by discourses in what archivists, asked in advance, outlined their planned or actual publishing work of some concrete kinds of sources. Ákos Koroknai and Zsolt Trócsányi, the research-workers of the National Archives, spoke about the documents of the governmental bodies of nation-wide scope of authority. Ákos Koroknai unfolded the publishing work and its conception of the central governmental reports of the bourgeois period (1848—1918). Here belong the records of the meetings of the Austrian Imperial Ministry between 1848 and 1867, the series of the common cabinet of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy (1867—1918), and the independent Hungarian Ministry (1848—49, 1867—1918). The records of the latter two governments in World War I were published by the Hungarian National Archives, while Austrian historians began to work at the period after 1849. But the methods of publication were different and this fact also urged the Hungarian and Austrian researchers to draw up a common plan and rules. The work goes on slowly but reliably. Zsolt Trócsányi added a further expansive possibility to the comprehensive plan. With the publication of the documents between 1711 and 1761 of the Hapsburg „Ministerialkonferenz in rebus Hungaricis et Transylvanicis" and the (incomplete) material of the „Staatsrat" and the files of the „Staatskonferenz", the series on the records of the important governmental organs of the feudal and the capitalist periods would be combined. The historian Vera Zimányi spoke about the archival exploration and the computerized data processing of the inventories of estates. Giving representative examples, she insisted on the social-historical importance of the collection of this kind of sources then she unfolded the method of collection of materials of their team. They do not want to edit a complete source publication but to collect the data material thematically, not one-sidedly, extended to every historical aspects in order to be processed. This work can be extended on a country-wide scale only with the research work of the country archives. Concerning to Zala country, Mrs. Bencze, Eszter Nagy, an archivist, stated her experiences and ideas in case of the inventories of estates. She underlined the demand on the comparison of each historical region, settlement and that of the living conditions, way of thinking of the different social groups, respectively. She suggested the complete, verbatim publication of the inventories.
