Kós' First Steps as an Independent Architect

THE SQUIRREL HOUSE RENOVATED WITH MINOR ALTERATIONS Of all the pavilions the Squirrel House is the smallest, yet it also demonstrates the structural hierarchy of stone, timber and the tower with a shingle roof. The house provides a natural habitat for the squirrels. The special treadmill was an innovation at the time. The structure of the building shows similarities with later designs by Kós, such as the entrance gate of the Székely National Museum. HU Squirrel House Magyar Építőművészet, 1912.11-12. A.
