The Registers of Income of Protestant Teachers The study is based on the database compiled in the memorial year of the Protestant Reformation on the ground of the Registers of Income of the school-inspectors. These documents which are important from the aspect of the history of schools provide numerous pieces of information on the schools of the county, among these Protestant schools and the teachers who worked there. Next to the name of the institution, the year of its establishing and the name of the schoolmaster the source material contains information on the salary of the schoolmasters and cantors, the items of the salary, and furthermore, information on the owner of the institution as well as the appendices of the Register of Income (contract, receipt, certificates etc.) .By means of the investigation of the incomes of the schoolmasters we cannot merely draw a picture of the financial circumstances and lives of the teachers in the first half of the 20th century but we can also have an insight into Andrea Kunné Tornóczky: „...sein Gehalt wird in 1988 Kronen 53 Heller festgesetzt“. Die Gehaltsregister der protestantischen Lehrer Diese Studie beruht auf der anhand der in den Akten des Schuünspektorates vorkommenden Gehaltsregister zusammengestellten Datenbasis. Diese aus unterrichtsgeschichtlicher Sicht wichtigen Dokumente geben uns viele Informationen über das Schulwesen des Komitates, die protestantischen Schulen und den dort tätigen Lehrkräfte. In der Quelle kommen neben dem Namen des Institutes, dem Jahr seiner Gründung, dem Namen des Lehrers auch Angaben über den Gehalt des Lehrers und Kantoren, die Einnahmeposten, Informationen über den Schuleigentümer sowie Beilagen des Gehaltsregisters (Verträge, Zeugnisse usw.) vor. Durch die Untersuchung der Einkommen der Lehrer werden wir auch über die Gegebenheiten und Lage der zeitgenössischen Kirchengemeinden und Siedlungen benachrichtigt. 180
