Tel: BR 9-6220 Dear Members: This past Wednesday, June 23 rd, 1965, was the last meeting be­fore the Summer recess. It was a regular & Quarterly meeting fairly well attended. The Quarterly Fi­nancial report was given to the satisfaction of those present. We were very happy to greet after an absence of many months, our Honorary President, Jeno FRIEDMAN. He was warmly re­ceived by his many friends in the Society. President Ernest ROTH extended the Sympathies of the Society to Bro. FRIEDMAN on the loss of his dear wife some weeks ago In turn. Brother Fried­man thanked the Society for their expressions of sympathy to him and his family. We all look for­ward to Bro, FRIEDMAN coming to many more meetings in the Fall. We were all happy to have back among us. Sister Helen GE. VIRTZ just returned from an extended vacation in seven Count­­ries in Europe including Israel. She too, was warmly greeted by all her friends in the Society. It is with sorrow that we have to report the deaths of Mrs. Alex KERTES and Mrs. Benjamin DEUTSCH, both wives of our members. We extend to them the sympathy of the Organization and hope that they are spared further sorrows in the years to come. Sorry to report that Brother Nick GLAUBER is confined to Montifiore Hospital with a broken leg and that Brother Julius BRO­DY, Sister Edith HOLZER and Brother Morris GOTTDIENER are still sick. In addition, we are sorry to report that our Honorary Chairlady, Irma FRIED is back in the Hospital. We wish her the very best and hope that she im­proves very shortly. Also hear that Bro William GREEN is sick. We are very happy to report the Wedding Anniversary of Bro and Sister Edmund WEILER. Many more happy anniversaries in the years to come, all in the very best of health. In the good news, we are happy to report the birthday of your Secretary on June 26th, 1965. As we have no regular meetings during the Summier, would you please send all correspondence to my address as above. Our Quarterly Report from the Financial Secretary' was given at this meeting, as well as discus­sions of other important matters. A special tribute was paid to our beloved sister, Mary ZEIS­­LER, who passed away recently. The unveiling of our beloved brother, Abraham SCHWARTZ, who was a Honorary President and a Charter Member in our or­ganization, was held on Sunday, June 20th at Riverside Cemetery. I along, with the other officers, attended his unveiling as represen­tatives of our Society. Our Ceme. tery Chairman, brother Jack ZINER, opened the unveiling ce­remonies paying tribute to our be­loved Brother, who was one of the founders of our Society, as well as a very dedicated member. His name will always be remembered by all of us! Our Rabbi, Dr. Theodore JUNG­­REISS, conducted a most memo­rable service. He highly praised our beloved brother Abraham SCHWARTZ, for his devotion to his family and to our organization We were very sorry to hear that our sister, Rose REINGE­­WIRTZ of 54 Featherhed Lane, BRONX, N, Y. has a broken leg, after meeting with an accident at home. We all wish her well! We wish all our members a pleasant July 4th week-end. We hope you all have a wonderful summer. We want to wish our Treasurer brother Béla LOWY and his wife a very pleasant July vacation. We hope they have an enjoyable time and stay in the best of health!
