There are several data sources in support of the view that Gyula Jungfer was the person who made the wrought-iron gateway. Apart from the fact that the plan for it turned up among the documents from his workshop (located on Berzsenyi Street, Budapest), a letter dated 2 December 188439

is addressed to him, as well as to several other contractors, instructing them to deliver, within eight days, their invoices for costs arising in connection with the conversion of the premises of the Museum of Applied Arts.
