style and quality of the ornamentation of the crop of the factory's heyday between 1844 and 1848 make it possible that some decorator(s) were employed directly from the Vienna factory. As the above-cited documents reveal, Ferdinánd Breczenheim had samples brought for the factory on two occasions: the "earthenware samples" imported by István Széchenyi from England and the al­legedly "antique" vases he brought with him from Italy. However, there is perhaps a single piece among the known vessels made in Telkibánya that displays the dis­cernible influence of English ceramics. An outstanding piece of early Regéc porce­lain presumably of local raw materials is a spherical little pot with lid, spout and a plastic handle, (fig. 2) Inside the spout there is a sieve.
