Majestaet Hof Buchdruckern. 17 Pine, veneered with walnut and walnut root, inlaid with kingwood and maplewood. The five bun feet support a protruding bottom corniche of cut edges, which holds the wardrobe. The protruding top corniche is jointed. Between the vertical inlays on the two doors there is a horizontal field decorated with ribbons. The vertical ones show birds among flowers and leaves, in a rhomboid frame outlined with maple filet inlays. The middle pilaster-shaped lath and the cut edges of the ribbon-framed fields are decorated with intarsia similar to that of the doors. H: 212 cm, L: 200 cm, W: 65 cm. 18 Pine, veneered with walnut, with maplewood, yew and thuya root inlays. Carved and gilt parts. The bottom cupboard c" three drawers with wavy front panel, stands on four bun feet. The slanted middle part stretches back, with a drawer on each side and a folding plate in the middle. The top part is flanked by six drawers on each side, with a slanted top. The front, concave compartment in the middle is decorated with columns with gilt heads; there are two small drawers above and a larger below. The door is decorated with a bumt-in indian figure,whereas the drawer panels and the folding plates show inlaid landscapes and arabesques. The drawers are lined with burgundy-blue-whitegrey marbled paper. 19 The cut paper fragment is identical with Cat.No. 37G. In: Europäische Buntpapiere, though it might also have been made in the workshop of Johann Michael Schwibechcr.
