Characteristics of facial skeleton are as follows: medium wide zygomatic arc, with medium bizygomatic breadth. Both face and upper face are medium high. Orbita wide (as to their distribution, the "medium wide" category is the most frequent), medium high (but the ratio of the "low" category is the greatest). Nose is medium wide and medium high. According to the indices facial skeleton is mesoprosopic (but "leptoprosopic" is more frequent), lepten (but mesen and hyperlepten face frequent enough). Orbita is chamaeconch, nose mesorrhine. Palate is brachystaphy lin. (Tables 2 and 10 ) Orbita is usually subrectangular, lower edge of nasal aperture is anthropine. Spina nasalis anterior is strongly developed, generally of degree 5. Fossa canina is medium deep or shallow. Alveolar prognathy is moderate or expressed. Females. Brain-case according to the mean-values is very long, medium wide, high (very high category is the most frequent). Brain-case according to the calculated indices is dolichocranic (hyperdolichocranic is the most frequent), orthocranic, acrocranic, metriometopic. Circumference of most skulls in norma verticalis ovoid and romboid. Glabella is weakly developed, generally of degrees 4 and 5, arcus superciliaris is strong, protuberantia occipitalis externa is .medium developed, generally of degrees 2 and 3. Processus mastoideus is small. Characteristics of facial skeleton are as follows: medium wide zygomatic arc, narrow bizygomatic breadth. According to the me an-values, face is high, but medium wide face is frequent. Upper face is medium high. Orbita is wide, medium high. According to the averages of the indices, facial skeleton is mesoprosopic, mesen . Orbita is chamaeconch, nose is mesorrhine. Palate is mesostaphylin. (Tables 3 and 10) Orbita is rectangular in the majority of cases, lower edge of nasal aperture is anthropine. Spina nasalis anterior is strongly developed, generally of degree 5. Fossa canina is medium deep or shallow. Alveolar prognathy is moderate or expressed. Anatomical variations and abnormalities are as follows: Sutura metopica can be seen on 3 male crania. Os apicis occurred on 3 male and 1 female crania. Among the variations of the pterion-region, os epiptericum can be seen in 4 cases, on the left side of 1 female skull, on the right side of 1 male and 2 female skulls. (Os epiptericum can be seen as a double bone on 1 male and 1 female skulls.) Stenokrotaphia has developed on the right side of 1 female skull. Existence of ossa wormiana is very frequent, it can be seen in 22 cases; occurring on the right side of skulls in 5 cases (4 male , 1 female), on the left side 5 cases (1 Infans I, 3 male , 1 female ) and on both sides in 12 cases (1 juvenile, 8 male , 3 female). Further suture bones occurred on the left side of the sutura coronalis (1 male), in the sutura sagittalis (1 male, 1 female). Suture bones can be seen on both sides of the asterion region, in the sutura squamosa, above the left processus mastoideus. Torus palatínus developed on 2 male skulls. Summing up the above, it can be stated that anatomical variations and abnormalities occurred on the skulls of children (Infans I) and of juveniles both in 1 case, of grown-ups in 39 cases (on male cranium 28, on female cranium 11 cases). Owing to facts mentioned in the introduction, viz. that the distribution of the youngaged and grown-ups does not reflect the Arpadian age relation, we cannot from a general picture from the distribution of the anatomical variations and abnormalities by sex and age. We found several burts and pathological changes in our material. Caries and atrophia occurred many times. Both sides upper third molares of the cranium of Inv. number 72.3.21. appear as a pin-tooth. A circular knob can be seen (has been caused by hit or inflammation) on the left parietale bone of the male cranium of Inv. number 70. 20. 2., and a hollow on the left frontale bone of the male cranium of Inv. number 72. 50. 1. Trail of a healed hit can be seen on the left frontale bone of the male cranium of Inv. number 72. 36. 1., on the line of sutura metopica and on the left pterion region of the male cranium of Inv. number 72.46. 2. There is an oval hole, in the middle of the frontal bone of the male cranium of Inv. number 72. 40. 1. A penetrated iron arrow-head can be found on the left frontale bone, on the region of frontal sinus of the male cranium of Inv. number 72. 13. 2. The mortal hit fissured also the frontal bone. Two cuts can be seen on the left side of the nape of the female skull (Boldogasszonyhalom, grave 3, Inv. number), which cut through the bone totally. The smaller one is near the foramen occipitale magnum, and the greater, which spreads accross to the bone temporale, is at the height of the processus mastoideus.
