Absolute measurements were taken according to Martin (1928),and the evaluation of the measurements and indices based on the categories elaborated by Alexeyev-Debet s (1964). Stature was determined by Wolanski's nomogram (1953)» but, for comparison ,the body height data were established also by the methods of Breitinger (1937) and Bach (1965). No mean or standard deviation values were calculât ed,since these would have no significance in this case of s mall Individual numbers. The study of the morphoscopic characteristics was made according to Martin, but Hrdlicka's method was used with respect to the dentition} the method was discussed in detail, concerning the literature referring to Avar Period findings, first by Dezső (1968), Lipták' s (1962) method was applied in the taxonomic analysis.
