Anatoraorphological descriptions"*" Békásmegyer. No. 2559 /Grave without serial number/. Strong and thick-boned brain case and facial skull, faulty on right side. Mandible whole. Female. Except for lambda suture, entire inner surfaoe, on outer surface pars verticis section of sagittal suture, complicata section of coronal suture and lambda suture, not yet ossified. Dentition strongly worn, molar surface of maxilla absorbed, hence individual probably mature. As far as ascertainable, pentagonoid in superior niew. Brain case long /on basis of its absolute value/, index incalculable due to not measurable breadth. Low chamaecranial in lateral view, medium high,on basis of index 20:1. Glabella I forehead entirely steep, medium bathrocrany. Protuberantia occipitalis externa weak, hardly discernible, only outline of linea nuchae superior detectable. Condyles of foramen magnum considerably arcuate. Forehead with slight arcus superciliaris, orbitals angular, hypsiconch, nasal root narrow, end of flat nasal ridge missing, nose narrow, leptorrhinian, lower margin anthropine.Spina nasalis anterior: 3. Fossa canina deep, mandible low, narrow, thin, index of smallest value. Genial process pointed. In its totality, it shows Europoide features, though the dacryal height is small /characteristic of the Mongoloids/. However, this single f-.ature does not necessarily mean a Mongoloidé strain. On the other hand, since the dacryal index refers to a Europoide value, it is a /Mediterranean or Nordic/ Europoide. The long bones are absent, thus no measurements of stature could be taken or calculated. Rákospalota, No. 4866. /Grave 2/. A broken calvarium. Sutures wholly open. Very weakly developed mastoidea, a strong frontal protuberance, gracile bones; all referring to a juvenile female. Pentagonoid in superios view, skull medium long; Glabella I /in lateral norm/. Pterion area wide H-shaped, occipital curvature strong. Supraauricular section medium high. Protuberantia occipitalis externa weakly developed. Planum nuchale with strong crista sagittalis. Lambda suture with nine smaller to larger bones; sagittal suture with two ossa wormiana. Forehead with a 2 cm long sutura me topica. Skull unsuitable for a detailed metric analysis. Ráko s - parachute - tower, Nr. 6285 /Grave 13/. A badly preserved calvarium, facial section represented only by left half of maxilla and zygomatic arc. However, sex and age identifiable. Bones graoile; small mastoids and weakly developed forehead refer to a female skull, while open sutures, unworn teeth speak for a juvenile. Pentagonoid in a superios view, narrow, medium high. In occipital norm medium high, metriocranial. Oocipital section slightly protuberant, lineae obsolete. Fossa canina very shallow, forehead slightly retroclinate, Glabella I. Alveolar prognathism. h For the cession of the data deriving from the biochemical examinations made on some of the finds, I wish to express my thanks to Dr. I. LENGYEL.
