Ever since 1561 Hungarian Roman Catholics from Moldova (the Chango-Hungarians), the Szekler Hungarians of Transylvania, and other Hungarians from the entire Carpathian Basin have gathered here yearly, to walk the last 12 kilometers together to a mountain plateau for Holy Mass. Of late, over 400 000 Roman Catholics, joined by Hungarians of other faiths, have participated in the pilgrimage.lt would be very meaninful to Hungarians all over the world were you to greet and bless this pilgrimage.
