Our youth, lay leaders and pastors cooperated to make this year’s camp truly “beautiful.” We look forward to next year’s camp with great anticipation! * Our Synodical Council met in Ligonier, Pa. on Tuesday, September 7, 1971 and acted upon the following items: 1. The Rev. Charles Tookos will continue to receive a Synodical subsidy owing to his advanced age and since he is ineligible to receive a pension from the Annuity Fund. The subsidy will be allotted from our Mission Fund. Our congregations are urged to make sure that their pastor is covered by adequate life and health insurance and is a member of the church’s pension and family protection plans. 2. Mrs. Coralyn Medyesy of Whiting, Indiana will be granted Temporary Licensure for one year if she and the Gary congregation make written request and application. 3. The request of Tibor B. Lorincz for licensure will be granted effective February 1, 1972, contingent upon his completion of the first semester at Princeton Seminary. 4. The request of the Rev. Tibor Petroczy for Privilege of Call was referred to the Committee of Church and Ministry for action after Rev. Petroczy presents his credentials to the Committee. 5. The Reformátusok Lapja, as a three month experiment, will appear with the English Section in the front portion of the paper. It is hoped that this will stimulate the interest of our English-speaking constituency in the paper and in the affairs of our Calvin Synod.
