The report forms are being mailed to our pastors urging them to return these forms no later than JANUARY 21, 1970. Again let us understand the terms! BASIC SUPPORT TOTAL should in­clude apportionment, synod admin, and travel quota. OTHER SUPPORT FOR OCWM should include One Great Hour of Sharing, Christmas Fund, Crisis in the Nation, Neighbors in Need, Synod ap­peals (Heart-Lung, Uruguay, Debrecen) and other BUDGETED causes. OTHER GIFTS should include con­tributions for which synod or denomi­nation has no budgeted responsibility (Bethlen Home, community gifts, etc.). MEMBERSHIP is indicated as it was known before Jan. 22, 1969. (It could not be changed after that date!) Be care­ful how you change it now as Basic Sup­port quota may not be based on this figure alone! — On the MAILING LIST report the NEW elders as soon as pos­sible! IT IS NOT TOO LATE to send in your Basic Support quota! (Jan. 16 is the deadline.) And let this be clear: YOUR MONEY WILL NOT GO TO THE BLACK ECONOMIC DE­VELOPMENT CONFERENCE or to the draft evaders unless you designate it for these purposes... If you care send your money for Hungarian “Synod Ap­peal” projects... Only do not try to es­cape the mission obligation of the church and spend all your money on your­self! ... There is no excuse for that! We certainly hope that every con­gregation will pay in full the synod ad­ministration quota. When the synodical services are claimed in so many forms, let us not forget the financial obligation! Make check payable to The Calvin Synod and send to Rev. J. Marsalko; 107 So. Cherry St., Wallingford, Conn. 06492. THE CONFERENCE COUNCIL plans to meet on Feb. 22, 23, 1970 in New York City to prepare the Synod meeting scheduled for April 27-29, 1970 in Ligonier, Pa. Suggestions or recom­mendations should be forwarded to the Synod President. It is not too early to elect delegates and alternate delegates to the Synod meeting. Our Synod sent greetings and $50.00. OUR SOUTH NORWALK CHURCH decided to adopt the Montevideo (Uruguay) Hungarian Ref. Church for three years, supporting them by a yearly amount of $500.00 and creating personal contacts between the two congregations. OUR REFORMÁTUSOK LAPJA needs the support of the whole synod!
