Producer Andy Vajna and movie director Krisztina Goda enjoyed a special honor on Sunday, October 31st: their jointly helmed film was the first Hungarian movie shown privately to a U.S. President and his guests. The event was a tribute by the White House and the President’s guests to Hungary and the 50th anniversary of the revolution . The screening is of distinctive importance given that movies are rarely shown at the White House. It is also an extraordinary gesture from George W. Bush that despite his numerous duties he devoted nearly five hours to Children of Glory. Apart from Vajna and Goda the White House also hosted at the exclusive screening of the movie Nancy Goodman Brinker and April H. Foley, the former and the current U.S. Ambassador to Hungary.
