Von den vielen, in den südwestlichen Gebieten des Komitats Zala auffindbaren Tumuli sind diese die ersten, welche authentisch ausgegraben und untersucht wurden. KLÁRA L. SZABÓ—LÁSZLÓ VÁNDOR: Roman period tumuli at Pördefölde (Summary) In the limits of Pördefölde, from among a hill-grave group, out of which several were ransacked, three have been excavated. The date of the hill-graves may be indicated at the end of the 2nd, or the beginning of the 3rd century. The funeral rites are those of scattered cremation, the findings in the graves are house pottery of the Roman period native inhabitance. Only the bronze fibulae have the value for fixing the dates. From among the very numerous tumuli to be found in the south-west regions of County Zala, these are the first which have been opened up authentically.
