PAGE 6 May 15, 1963 William Penn Pre-Convention District Session Meetings The Board of Directors at its regular semi-annual meeting of March 25- SO, 1963, resolved that: Pre-Convention District Session Meetings, for the purpose of electing Delegates and Alternates to the XXVth Convention, as provided in the By- Laws, shall be held between June 1 and June 30, 1963. Such election to be based on Active and Fully-Paid-Up members of record as of June 30, 1962. Branches which constitute Districts in themselves shall elect its Delegates and Alternates at a regular or special Branch meeting called for this purpose. Branches with less than the prescribed 400 Adult members as of Junei 30, 1962 were aligned into Districts by the Board of Directors. A District not having a District President or District Secretary shall have its District Ses­sion meeting called together by the Home Office. At the same time, the Home Office will appoint a Chairman Pro Tern to open the District Ses-i sion Meeting. To qualify for election as a Delegate, the candidate must be: 1. An American citizen. 2. 21 years of age or over. 3. Has been an insured member, at least since December 1, 1961. A member belonging to more than one branch, can only vote and par­ticipate at one District Session Meeting. The following list will indicate which Branches compose a District, what the District’s eligible Adult Membership is and the number of Delegates and Alternates they may elect. For the grouped Branches, the name of the city in parenthesis indicates the city or town in which the District meeting will be held. For the good of the order, each member should feel it his solemn duty to attend his or her District Session Meeting when called.
