Toledo is sending 4 men’s teams and 2 women’s teams to the tourn­ament — along with several wives of the bowlers to cheer the bowlers — anticipating that we will have champions among those bowling. Captains of the womens teams are Rose Bodnar and Jackie Alex. Jack­ie’s team is the defending women’s champions, — and look out, gals, they aim to retain that crown! Good luck, girls! The captains of the mens teams are Steve “Pete" Toth, Joseph Hornyak, Frank Veres, and Steve Ivancso. A bus is in the process of being chartered — so — if anyone desires to see New York at a reduced rate, kindly call the office at OX 3-8162 or call Hazel Vischer at GR 5-9494. Tho.^e wishing to go by train with reserved seats, call the office as soon as possible. Those who will he driving by car should leave early enough in order that their going­­will be by the daylight. Traffic in New York — on Memorial Day should be on the light side — take the Lincoln Tunnel to the Com­modore Hotel on 42nd Street. Jula Feyes took a back seat to his young son Jeffrey recently in the bowling circles. Jula takes his son out for lessons and the sharp left-handed youngster proceeds to show his All Star dad a few tricks of his own. Nice going, Jeff, we need subs very badly on Tuesday even­ings, — so keep bowling — and keep in shape! Mitzi Toth is building up mo­mentum for New York with a plus 180 game. Rusty Krolak is in splen­did tournament form with a fine 697. Gary Vischer, the football star at Detroit U, has tak^n up handball to stay in shape and at this writing his opponent will be Dr. John Scopis for the states singles handball cham­pionship. Good luck, Gary. Mrs. Klara Weller was a happy girl the other day. She was chosen calendar girl for a day by the local radio station WOHO. We add our own congratulations to Klara. On the sick list this month is Mrs. Anna Antal. We wish her a speedy re­covery. Our condolences to the Stephen Toth and Stephen Feher families on the passing of their dear fathers. We would like to call your at­tention to an important fact con­cerning hospitalization and group insurance. This concerns the family man whose children have attained the age of 18. Kindly check your policies for anyone in your family who has reached this age or will be in the near future. If this is the case where your child may not be eligible for group coverage, call us so that the proper hospitalization coverage can be had. We have a variety of hospitalization contracts so please call us before you have an illness and then find you have no coverage. 0/j PITTSBURGH, 04: Pennsylvania President Michael Kara reports that Branch 34, Pittsburgh, Pa. will renew its program of children’s Hun­garian Folk Dancing lessons on the first Saturday of May, 1963. All parents who are interested in re­gistering their children for the Dance instructions should attend the Branch Ladies Auxiliary meeting on April 24, 1963 at 8 P.M. in the Magyar Ház, 120 Flowers Ave., or call Mrs. Kara, JA 1-5287. Branch 34 will also organize a Ladies and Mens Bowling Team, all who are interested should attend the monthly Branch meeting for further details and information. Meetings are held in the Magyar Ház 3 PAL on the second Sunday of each month. It was resolved at the March Branch meeting that RÁKÓCZI YEAR will be celebrated with a Picnic on Sunday, July 21, 1963 in the Hazelwood Sportsman Park. ><Q NEW YORK, 40 New York GOLDEN WEDDING ANNIVERSARY Mr. & Mrs. John Csabina of 3118- 31st Street, Astoria recently cele­brated their 50th, GOLDEN WED­DING ANNIVERSARY. A party in their honor was held at the home of Bill Csabina in Myosset, Long Island. The honored couple has three boys: Bill, John & Aladar, also five grandchildren. The cele­brants have been members of the Association for'53 years, and we too extend our heartiest congratulations and best wishes to them. PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania Hello again, folks! It seems a long time between our newspaper visits, but I hope that more and more of you will notice our column and an­xiously read the “76” news. Our meeting was held .March 9th, and the officers are pleased to note that with each meeting the attendance is increasing. But what about you other folks? Won’t you reserve the second Saturday night of the month to be with your friends? Each and every one of you is needed to help, and perhaps advise, the officers in vari­ous upcoming events for our Phila­delphia group. Wining, dining and dancing — all add up to our big social event of the year, namely our Thanksgiving Holiday Dance. This November we would like to make our dance a real gala affair. Our dance committee is striving to reserve a more suitable club than in the past, especially in regards to parking facilities, good food anti dancing space. We are open tcC any suggestions to further the success of our Thanksgiving Dance! So how about it, folks? Come to the meetings and lend us your helping hand. Just a reminder, friends, that va­cation time will soon be here! Have you given it much thought as yet? What about that secret yen of yours to go traveling? Wouldn't a trip to Europe — especially HUNGARY — he terrific? The opportunity for just such a trip is here! William Penn is organizing groups to fly to Hungary this summer. Give this planned trip serious thought, folks. Make THIS years vacation the best of all! Meetings are held 3rd Tuesday of each month at 1403 No. Mascher St. BUTLER Pennsylvania Frank Vargo Sr. who died March 19, 1963 was a member of the As­sociation for more than fifty years, the late Mr. Vargo migrated to this country 58 years ago- and during his lifetime contributed much to the growth of the American-Hungarian Community. He is survived by his widow neé Margaret Yuhasz, four children and nine grandchildren. We extend our sympathies to the family. NORTHAMPTON, Pennsylvania Branch 216 will host the Lehigh Valley William Penn Branches in ce­lebrating the RÁKÓCZI YEAR and also honoring the 50 year members of each participating Branch.
