These bowlers will also bowl simultaneously for Singles and Doubles scores. All William Penn members who have passed their 12th birthday, but have not yet reached their 16th birthday, may participate in the Junior Division. ,The Association will furnish appropriate trophies to the winners of both the Eastern and the Western Tournaments. In the Bantam Division boy and girl Singles and Doubles winners will receive trophies ,also in the Junior Division, or a total of 12 trophies in both tournaments. Entry blanks may be obtained from the supervisors and from the managers of the branches mentioned above .Deadline for accepting entries for Johnstown will be Saturday, August 25, and for Detroit Saturday, September 1. Each Bantam Division player will pay bowling fees for two games and each Junior Division participant will pay bowling fees for three games at time of registration. There will be no other fees! Each contestant will be given handicap points on the basis of the American Junior Bowling Congress rules. Those who can not certify their averages must participate without handicap. Junior Division players will receive points on averages between 70 and 160. On 70 averages or below, the maximum handicap will be 68 points. Each participant must display the name of the Association on his shirt. For most participants this should be no problem because during the past year they bowled in William Penn shirts. Those, however, who are not members of a William Penn team at the time of registration, may obtain FREE OF CHARGE a William Penn emblem which shall be worn above the heart on a white shirt. We respectfully request that all branch officers in the vicinity of these two Junior Bowling Tournament sites support wholeheartedly this new Junior Program, for we know that without this backing we can not hope to achieve success. Our goal is to make the Junior Bowling Tournaments as popular as our yearly Senior Bowling Tournament. AUXILIARY NOTES ANNIVERSARY A cordial gathering and a tasteful dinner united to make the harmonious setting for the happy observance of the first anniversary of the founding of New Brunswick, New Jersey Branch 19 Women’s Auxiliary, held on Wednesday June 27, 1962. The occasion, which took place at the well-known Garden Spot Restaurant, also honored those women members who for years have devoted much of their time in the interest of Branch 19, and the younger women feted their senior sisters. Those specially honored were Mrs. Wendell Horvath, Mrs. Peter Kady, Mrs. Joseph Haklar, Mrs. Jacob Horvath, Mrs. Michael Lakat, Mrs. Joseph Koller, Mrs. John Horvath, Mrs. Stephen Ur and Mrs. Emery Kukor. The younger ladies who acted as hostesses were Mrs. Augustine Molnár, Mrs. Nicholas Vasvary, Mrs. Theodore Simon, Mrs. John Kozak, Mrs. Stephen Bendes, Mrs. Joseph Kormondy, Mrs. Blaise Szucs, Mrs. Robert Stehlik and Mrs. Michael Hegedűs, Jr. The first anniversary celebration of the Women’s Auxiliary of Branch 19 was a complete success. During the summer months the Auxiliary is not holding meetings, but upon resumption therof the first meeting will be held in the home of Mrs. Augustine Molnár. Mr. and Mrs. John Klement, who were married June 15, 1911, recently celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary. They are members of Branch 187, Granite City, Illinois. The Klements’ three sons, six grandchildren and others joined in surprising the elderly couple with a pleasant observance of their anniversary.
