PAGE 2 July 19, 1961 ’’ William Penn DEATH AGAIN VISITS HOME OFFICE Julia Eszlari When Home Office veteran employee Julia Eszlari sincerely grieved the death of President Coloman Revesz on January 13, 1961 little did she think that Death, the Harvester of all men whether old or young, hale or pale, mighty or1 unheralded, would soon coldly beckon to this true lady with this pronouncement: COME FOLLOW ME INTO ETERNITY! Julia Eszlari is dead. Suddenly, on the evening of Sunday, July 2, at home in the company of her kin, Julia made the irrevocable departure from this life to receive the begun her service with the Association on April 7, 1936, or 25 years ago, when we were still the Verhovay with offices in the Standard Life Building a few hundred feet away from our present headquarters. Julia worked in the Crediting Department for Controller John Sabo and at all times enjoyed Mr. Sabo's good will and understanding. She merited too the respect of the other officers and all the employees. Julia died unmarried. Perhaps she never met a man worthy of her as a life’s partner, for she would have made a devoted wife and loving mother. She was of the highest moral fiber and was a devout churchgoer. Her virtues were many, her faults few. She was, in short, Lady Julia, and we her associates, both officers and employees, shall remember her as an inspiration for good. Surely Julia Eszlari is in Heaven.
