Ivancso Sick Benefit Claim Payments, Novembr, 1957 (Continued From Page 13) Branch 27-V, Toledo, Ohio, will be led by the same officers in 1958 as in 1957. With' a unanimous vote, all officers were reelected: Andrew Feyes, president; Paul Lajti, Sr., vice president; John Mokri, Jr., treasurer- John Simon, secretary; William 4. Smith, controller; Joseph Hornyak, John Rakav and Richard Sendi, auditors; Mrs. Agnes Mokri and Mrs. Joseph Hornyak, Entertainment Committee chairman and assistant, res* I pectively. Branch 27-V’s Christmas party was a great success. Our hats off tó •Mrs.Agnes Mokri who was chairman of the Christmas Party and to the following women who helped out to the best of their assigned ability; Mrs. John Evancho, Mrs. John Kőiéit was over the Christmas Holiday that we found out that our vice president’s wife, Julia Lajti, had a stay in the hospital — and by the time we saw her she was home recuperating. We wish Julia speedy recovery so that the csárdás can “fly.” Other sick members of Branch 27-V are Joseph Hornyak of Curtice, Ohio, John Kovács of Rossford, Ohio, Stephen Takacs past president of Br. 27-V, and Joseph Vislay. We wish each one recovery and a healthful New Year. I just received a phone call that Joseph Zabrosky, popular member is in St. Charles Hospital and he may have to.undergo surgery. Our niece, Darlene Evancho, is just a couple doors away from Joe, and at this writing will be home in a couple of days. Thanks to Bill and Helen Smith v for the grand way they entertained some of the William Penn Mixed League Bowlers. They not only served food and refreshments but also entertained the group with films of Bill’s trip to London and Paris. Later Bill, in true poetic style, read a poem that had all his listeners spellbound until the end; I forgot the name of the poem, but Bill will be ready to recite this at any gathering for a nominal fee. John and Hattie Kocsis, from Akron, Ohio, paid us a visit over the holidays, and with the camera John showed irs, the next William Penn Bowling tournament will be put on film for future reviewing. It might pick up the flaws of some of ua bowlers. Mrs. Lucille Toth and daughter Sherri spent their holiday in Gainsville, Georgia. Lucille and szar, Mrs. William Smith. Mrs. Andrew Rasi, Mrs. Joseph Hornyak and Mrs. Stephen J. Ivancso. St. Michael’s Greek Catholic Church basement was filled to capacity by young and old as Santa arrived to give out the goodies. The brauen showed its generosity by donating quantities of chocolate candy, candy canes, apples, oranges, pop corn balls, etc., and we also had a Christmas tree that was beautifully decorated, which really added to the festive atmosphere. Bill Smith brought his projector and showed reels of Kiddie Cartoons —we really enjoyed Woody Woodpecker. Joseph Aranyosi took pictures of Santa and all the children — even some of the “mammas” had their pictures taken with Santa. Sherri enjoyed the trip very much and, at this writing, are happy to he home again with daddy Julius “Mickey” Toth. A few birthdays to mention — Yolanda Krolak’s sister Vi Linville celebrated her? at the last evening of our bowling. Last month we erronously reported Vi instead of Yolanda as Bill’s wife . . . Rev. Alexander Pinter, Pastor of St. Stephen’s — Jan. 4 . , < brother James IVancso — Jan. 8 . . . and our little Maggie celebrated hers on Dec. 27. Important notice to all the bowlers who wish to attend the annual tournament in Philadelphia: PLEASE CALL US OR ATTEND THE FEBRUARY MEETING SO THAT ALL THE FINAL DETAILS CAN BE IRONED OUT. WE WANT TO ELIMINATE THE LAST MINUTE RUSH OF ENTRY FEES. AS SOON AS WE RECEIVE ENTRY FORMS, WE WILL CALL ALL OF LAST YEAR’S CAPTAINS TO PICK THEM UP AND TO HAVE THEM FILLED OUT PROPERLY AND MONEY RETURNED WITH THE ENTRY FORMS.----------(3 --------------DO YOU KNOW?
