His telephone number is DEvonshire 2-9708. We are happy to welcome MR. KEMENES and wish him every success in his new endeavor. He comes to us from Buffalo, New York, being in the United States but six years. He speaks both English and Hungarian well. We suggest that everyone of you get acquainted with MR. KEMENES even if the buying of insurance is not foremost in your mind at the moment. The time will be well spent.-----76-V — CLOTHING DONATIONS Clothing for Hungarian refugees can be brought to MISS BETTY SMITH, 2960 N. Hancock Street, at almost any reasonable hour. She will see that a charitable organization gets them without delay.-----76-V-----MARRIAGE MISS JANE KENNY, daughter of Mrs. Violet Kenny, 2607 N. Darien Street, was wed to MR. LEONARD ALLEN, 3041 N. Tenth Street, on Saturday, July 12th, at St. Simeon’s Church, 9th Street and Lehigh Avenue. About 150 persons attended the reception. Good luck! Mr. Allen’s two sons, Gary Preston and Leonard, are serving in the U. S. Coast Guard at Wildwood, N. J. It’s unusual for brothers to be stationed together. Preston is reenlisting in October. Leonard is the proud father of a baby boy, LEONARD III, who was born 5 months ago. Good luck, everyone!-----76-V-----HUNGARIAN MUSIC Miklós Rozsa submits his distinctive idiom to formal logic and thereby creates easy-tó-listen-to, structurally sound works. There is a distinctive Hungarian mood in his music that does not resort to actual PAGE 7 folk melodies. Three fine works by Rozsa are included on Decca record DL 9966. The Overture, Rozsa says, was influenced in spirit by the recent illfated Hungarian revolt. Another good item for your collection.-----76-V-----October 6th and 23d will be commemorated by Hungarians in Philadelphia.-----76-V-----SEPTEMBER BIRTHDAYS JAMES S. ALLEN, JAMES J.
