Even though the not too encouraging weather seemed to be against the success of the affair, enthusiasm and high interest in the event assured a capacity crowd at Bohemian Park in Astoria, Long Island. The spirit of cooperation and fraternalism was quite evident. Branch 48-V was highly honored to have guests from out of town. A large group from Parent-R, Bridgeport, Connecticut, came to participate in the festivities. Among these out of town visitors were Vice President Louis Varga, Director Stephen Bencze, District Manager Andrew R. Balogh, Eastern District Office employees Mrs. Ethel Hunyor and Mrs. Barbara Sakacs, and Mrs. Messinger long active in Bridgeport branch affairs. Greetings were expressed by Vice president Varga and Director Bencze, both of whom asked for the continuation of the spirit shown at this affair. Branch 48-V is grateful to all who by their work and presence contributed to the success of this grand outing. ---------........................
