APPOINTED the Croation-American Hall in Los Angeles was enjoyed by all attending, but the turnout was smaller than anticipated. Those who were not there really missed a real fine time. “HOSPITAL VISITATION” JOHN ZARA was in the Alta Vista Hospital in Altadena for an operation and is now at home convalescing. ALICE TOMKO has been a patient at the Los Angeles General Hospital since February. She had a brain operation, is reported doing as well as can be expected. Master WILLIAM R. NAGY celebrated the Fourth of July in an unusual manner. He decided to pick this holiday to visit the California Hospital to have his appendix removed. Billy is now at home and chipper again. DAN MOROVICK was a patient at the St. Francis Hospital in South Gate recently. He is now at home and is progressing well. MRS. JOSEPH YUHASZ is now a patient at the Temple City Hospital where she is taking treatment for a spinal ailment. She entered the hospital on Saturday August 2. LOUIS BALLA hurt himself when he had an accidental fall at home. We hear, however that it was not too serious. We wish to extend our wishes for speedy recovery to all our members who have been ill or hospitalized. MRS. PEARL NAGY passed away after a long and extended illness on July 10, 1958 at the California Hospital in Los Angeles. The funeral service was held at the Pierce Brothers Mortuary in Inglewood on Saturday July 12 and was conducted by the Rev. Anthony Szabó and the Rev. Sheppard. Mrs. Nagy leaves her husband John, sons John, Jr. and Louis, and daughter Priscilla. MICHAEL SHALAKO passed away on July 21, 1958 after having been stricken with lukemia. Funeral services were held on Saturday, July 26 at St. Benedict Catholic Church in Montebello, California.
