PAGE 3 William Penn GOLD FOR THEIR ANNIVERSARY Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Bartók celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on January 15 at home in the company of their im­mediate relatives. Mr. Bartók is well-known as an old-timer in another category. For the past 35 years he has managed faithfully and well the affairs of Branch 73-V, Adena, Ohio. Veteran Bartók immigrated in 1905 to Connorville, Ohio, and two years later, in 1907, the Bartoks were married in Dillon-» vale, Ohio by the Rev. Stephen Nicholas Kovach, Reformed Church minister. The Bartoks first lived in Connorville and since 1914 have made Adena their home. Mr. Bartók was a coal miner for forty years. Four children were born of the union, all of whom were present to honor their parents on their golden wedding celebra­tion: Mrs. Michael Sulyak, Detroit, Michigan; Stephen Bartók, Lincoln Park, Michigan; Bela Bartók and Daniel Bartók, Jr., of Adena, O. Present also was Mrs. John Dull, the 88 year old mother of Mr. Bartók. The Bartoks have ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Our best wishes to the happy celebrants. Couple Celebrate 50 Mr. and Mrs. Florian Biro, members of Branch 2.14-V, Flint, Michigan, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary January 13. -.....­They renewed their vows at a High Mass in St. Joseph’s Church. Father Thomas Ker­tész officiated. On January 14, 1907 Florian Biro and Anna Forgo were married in Mátra­­bella, Heves county, Hungary by Father Alexander Biro, pas­tor of St. Nicholas’ Church there. Many relatives and friends were present to honor the Bi­ros at the afternoon gathering held in the hall of St. Joseph’s Church. Eight children were bom to Years of Marriage Mr. and Mrs. Biro, six sons and two daughters, who joined their parents in the festivities. They are: Alex, Floyd, Steve, Andrew and John, who came with their* families from California; Joseph, of Flint, accompanied by his wife; Mrs. Joseph Toth, Julia, also of Flint, joined by her family; and Mrs. Julius Philip, Mary, from Detroit, with her family. There are 16 grandchildren and 2 great­grandchildren. Mr. Biro joined our Associa­tion back in 1912 in Clarks­burg, W. Va.; Mrs. Biro has been a member since 1940 hav­ing joined in Flint, Mich.
